Vinity I 'think' BSG has a one hour special Monday night to talk about the show over all of the seasons and then the 2 hour finale on Friday. TV Guide has a special cover and article about it.

Watcher and LTL I remember the song 'dead skunks in the middle of the road' I actually thought of that when we were seeing and smelling so many on the first part of our trip.

I remember the song "Dead skunks" Skunks were a horrble problem in Charlottesville. Dead on the sides of the road all the time. We had a family in the trees just off the side of our land about 100 feet from the bed rooms. The shoot from the back pasture and front pasture crossed it. The horses were terrified of the skunks. Once one sprayed our heating unit and we had to go to a hotel for a night and once DV tried to hit on in the driveway. He didn't get it but it sprayed the hell out of the underpart of his car. We had to rent a car for a month and I took that thing to be washed a million times. Even years later get that car hot enough and I swear you could smell faint skunk.

They replayed Castle tonight. Is that good??

Thanks for the new thread! Hey! I just came back from watching 2 movies at the theaters, The first one was" The House on the Left". Now that was a very good movie, but very Gory! I really can't handle any gory scenes anymore, but the thriller/exstensive violence I can still handle that.

The second one was"Return to Witch Mountain", & it was also good, but you know when the write ups came up & they said "Ian ( oh, now I forgot his last name,) & the girl,Denise Richardson, anyways, they were the "orginal" kids in the movie( back in the 70's) & I still couldn't figure out which part they played in this one, So I'll have to go watch it agian or find out what there "charectors" names were in the movie.But The Rock is so hot!!! God you should see how big he is, he's like massive!! So Just to let you know the movies were awesome!

LTL I don't know what "wordpad" is? Yeah I'm that bad with computers.



I forgot now what everyone was talking about,(okay I remeber the final season of BSG ) I think it's here on Monday, & the final eppy is this Friday but I could be mixing that up too. Gosh I haven't watched that show in so long, last time it was on, was that cute blond guy as captian of the ship. yeah so like in the 80's?



okay off to finsh the book(3) of the stargate series. Hey Vinity have you read those series ??anyone else??

Still making my way through BtVS, approaching midway in S4. S4 has been a bit patchy so far but (I won't be popular with this opinion!) I'm glad the 'Angel' spin off means we see less of him , I mean I like evil Angelus but the tortured soul Angel / Buffy thing had been pushed as far as it could go IMO. The real star of BtVS now, I am sure, is Spike as James Marsters as he TOTALLY steals any scene he is in . I'm so glad JW decided to keep Spike and not kill him off. I loved the Buffy / Spike "engagement in 'Something Blue', and 'Hush' is a brilliant episode with the creepiest villains of the series so far and Giles' slide show was so funny, as were so many of the gestures (some very crude ones ) as they struggled to communicate.

I won't be able to see the final episodes (season?) of BSG until the DVDs come out which should be in June - I've got my pre-order in

For the Brits, I read that 'The Wire' will be shown on free TV on BBC2, but I don't what they will do about censoring the language ( the f-word count is astronomical ) I really recommend it though it's not easy to watch with the violence and cussing and the street slang.

They already have a release date set for the Season 1 DVD to come out, so I guess they're planning on playing the whole season, no matter what. I thought that was a bit surprising for a show that's only had one episode.

I wanted to watch that show, I hope I can get a copy of it. I heard that the Wire is very good, but I can handle all the cussing ect.

My guess is they won't edit it at all - just show it very late at night As long as it's after 9pm, they can swear all they like, in theory, but I bet they leave it later, to stop complaints

I got bad news today I realised I thought my current contract ends a month earlier than I'd thought. Not a pleasant piece of knowledge, given that it's unlikely any new grant will be funded in time to pick up where this one leave off... So now I have only 3 months guaranteed salary left, instead of 4, and unemployment is looking more and more likely I don't want to be unemployed!!!! The time at home would be welcome, but not the lack of money

Big Niece also had bad news. She hasn't broken her arm... but she has broken her shoulder and her wrist So she can't ride in the competition she's entered into next month. Her first competition - she was so excited about it. Her recovery will be long as well, as they can't set the shoulder like they normally do, because treatment depends on her being able to take the weight of her arm on her wrist. And she can't do this, because it's broken as well! Poor Niece

For those of us who refuse to believe Roswell is over, we're having a Roswell Viewing Party (RVP) . We're on episode 3, Monsters. We'll be simultaneously watching the ep and posting about the ep tomorrow night at 9 PM east coast time and 6 PM west coast time. Come join us for the RVP Here.

Had a good weekend. My granddaughters came and the little one stayed for most of it (the older went home on Saturday). It was the older one's birthday today and Bampaw took us to dinner last night at Red Robin.

Tonight is my favorite night of TV. And it's time to crawl into bed and relax and watch. I'm recovering from having the kids so am looking forward to this time.

HMQ - glad you enjoyed the movies. I took the girls to Coraline. It was weird and a bit creepy for kids.

Spook- That is so sad about your niece. & Horrible about you not getting anymore grants. Gosh I really do hope they find some funding, so you don't have to go on E.I. That is so horrible & they give you practailly "nothing" & you have to wait for like 6 weeks to get any sort of $.

NanaJ- So that movie "Corline" was a bit off eh, But as long as the grandchildern enjoyed the movie, that's okay eh. How's your daughter doing?? I hope she is alright & having a speedy recovery. You know how I really miss my neice & nephews when they were younger & enjoyed comming over to my place for the "usual" "Junk Fest". & movies & palying their video games. But they are all so old now. The 2 boys are 16, the next one is 19, & Neice is 18, & the 2 older boys ( who live in Edmonton, since they are both in the Army) are 22 & 24. No young kids to spoil & have fun with anymore!! Anyways, it's good they got their own friends & can go to parties ect.( well some of them work ). But yeah March Break started today, over here.

Okay everyone knows I'm not a fan of vampire shows, & movies. But I decided to " Give it another try" & rented "Twilight" for this evening to watch( well 2 more movies as well).

Just watching A Hard Day's Night" on IFC. Boy does that bring back memories. 1964. It doesn't seem like that long ago. It's on a couple of times tomorrow it anyone wants to try and catch it. For you youngsters, that's the Beatles.

I love Hard Day's Night! Although Yellow Submarine is my favorite Beatles movie.

Yello Submarine is good also. Help didn't get played as much. It was kinda different.

I did like Help, but not as much as the others. My spare bathroom is completely decorated in Yellow Submarine, and I made a Yellow Submarine for a pinewood derby I was in. It was quite slow, but it did win first place in my division for design

Do you know I haven't watched it once this season? The timing for me to watch just hasn't been happening. But mainly I haven't watched due to no one of interest being on there. I had wanted to watch Jewel and Ty compete against one another, but since she is out, then I really don't care to watch.

I finally got a new student today. No English. He is a quick little guy. Three times he just upped and left. Thank goodness I saw him leave or someone else did while I was working with others. Should be an interesting end of the year

Lovely spring day today and third day running with plenty of sunshine - while we're all inside working Big fire visible from my office in the City of London this afternoon, lots of smoke, luckily no-one trapped and the building was safely evacuated.

It was actually suposed to be on the shelves a few days later, but you how some of the corner stores put there dvd rentals out eailier, it's agianist the law really & they can lose their lience, but they all do it.

so the guy had 4 copies & I still can't believe I got it, with one last copy to rent, Agian I think that the guy did it since it's "March Break" thought he'd get them rented eariler. well that could be his excuse.



Well I did enjoy the film a lot, I will come back & tell you all that I liked the parts & the guys the most. Later on, as I;m in the middle of watching one show taping others, it's a bit for me at the moment.

GH - Sorry I didn't get to the discussion of Monsters. Just got sidetracked. (Doesn't take much).

I'm still working on this banner. Did have one success today. I imported the United Church of Christ design, colored it in Photoshop, put a transfer sheet in my printer and printed it, ironed it and it is now on material. I will place it on the banner eventually. Came out well. This old dog learned a new trick. Applause, please.
I also bought a tiny pair of scissors to cut out letters for the banner. Should make it easier, as some of the letters are pretty small. I'm having a terrible time figuring out the best color combinations for the banner. So I am cutting out several letters in different colors to lay on the banner to see if I can figure out what will look right.

Daughter is feeling better after her procedure. Her car developed problems, though and is in the shop and she is using my car today. Hubby has a car, but it is a van and I don't like to drive it. Had enough to keep me busy at home, so it was really not much of a problem. Should get my car back tommorow.

Yeah I really liked Twillight, I thought of it more like roswell, like Max & Liz. types. So I enjoyed it more ,since to me it wasn't a regular vampire movie, you know demons & gore galore . okay before I go over there Yeah NanaJ- enjoy the grandkids now caus ethey do grow up too fast. I was mentioning this to my brother ,when he called tonight & he said I know. We don't even see them much anymore, always wanna go out with their friends. My neice is T.O right now, lucky girl! I'm jealous!!

Yeah & I just saw in the flyers that Walmart is having a huge sale off of the movie this weekend. It's gonna cost $18.95 for the DVD single sset with 3 posters of the movie inside, & it goes up to regular price of $22.95 on Monday. I think the soundtrack is also on sale for like $15.00, But I'm gonna wait it out, because more than likely My neice will want a copy of the movie so my brother can make one for me too. that should of been in a p.m. eh



I don't know about the posters, I might just go stand in the horrible line-ups for the one of( hopefully) Jacob, & James. those are my "highly favorite" hotties of the movie eh! ( panting)

Daughter has my car so I pretty much stuck at home. Good thing. Lots of housework needed to be done. Did three loads of clothes and there is just my hubby and I. Then some ironing. Then bed changing. Finished what I am going to do on the banner. The committee can finish it.

My neighbor has written a book. She dictated it--so many words didn't come out correctly. She is not a great speller, nor is her strength... grammar. So I have been helping her edit it, an hour at a time. We are up to page 97. Got to get to 175, but we are making progress. Not that it will ever be published. (It won't). But at least she will have something for her relatives to read, if they wish. She keeps complimenting the character that is really her. Not that I could write a novel. I have trouble with a short poem!

LTL - I picked up book twelve of the Stephanie Plum books yesterday. It has started out great. I have a feeling it was one of my favorites in the series--enough time has elapsed that I don't recall many things and it is almost as good as reading it for the first time.

Janeta - welcome back from Scotland. Hope it was an enjoyable trip.

One of our church choir members put together a video of their trip to South Africa (last September). They used their choir music as the background of all the photos and it was wonderful. Only bad thing--made me sad that I wasn't there on that excursion. Terrific event.

Hey guys Sorry to be a few days missing again. Blame Tek! She got me started on these dang OutLander novels. You get a lot of bang for your $8. each book is 1000 or more pages, in small print. Even with as fast as I read it's taking me about 2 and 1/2 days per book. I just started book 4 and there are 6 total so far plus a spin off with 2 books I think. Anyway, been trying to catch up on stuff I missed doing for the last few month Still lots of stuff I can't and won't be able to do for a while like pick stuff up from the ground, sit up in a chair for long periods, { I can recline if I have alot of lower lumbar surport} and my endurance stinks but all told I'm hugely better.

SPN was outstanding tonight, I'm not sure that series isn't starting to run neck and neck with Farscape It's past Buffy for me. Doing suck a great job with the angels, no happy sparkles with these guys.

I'm a Spike fan. I really thought Angell brought the show down. I got the boxed set of Angel when it was on sale month ago thinking maybe I missed something but still haven't been able to finish first season. I did like and watch the last season but that was just because of Spike being there. He really pushed everyone's game up altho I always thought the supportting cast was outstanding, I mainly had trouble with Angel. Funny, cause I don't mind Bones and it pretty much the same acting.

YIKES!!! Sorry about all of that. YIKES!!!! We've taken a huge pay cut just cause DV had cut back on taking any new patients last summer after his blood clot. Then he kept his schedule light cause of leaving for Euro, then he would have picked up full practice but I got so sick he had to leave it at half so now we are paying for it He's seeing new patients but it takes a while to build back to full load.


How was the BSG special? I hope they put it up on HULU or Skiffy. I watched Castle.

DV and Michael are packing for an impromptu trip to Miami. DV wants to see Wake play. I hope they win Firday, I'm hate for them to spend all that money to go see one game I wished they'd seeded for Greensboro instead. Anyways, I'll be all alone this weekend
