Not that i have any on either. But has anyone bought Caprica yet? I was going to pick up a copy this weekend.

Any opinions out there yet?
Knighthawkdc
I have seen it, and it is good

Definitely worth getting if you are a fan.

There is nudity that will not appear in the broadcast version.
CapricaMan
I like nudity.

I missed Zoic though.
WrigsFL
Ok, i have watched. Some of it was interesting. But I couldn't get a feel for where the series might go. I know it's just a pilot... but I just can't quite put my finger on why it didn't grab me all that much. I guess i'll have to wait until next year to see where the show will end up.

I heard that Caprica will appear on Syfy in 2010. How about a arc revealing that there were a human-disguised lizard like race called Cylons hiding among the humans since they lost their war against the humans of Kobol, centuries ago. smile.gif

It is set to air on Jan. 22, 2010.

I was hooked instantly. Now we know that at the heart of every Centurian is a religious conservative teenaged girl. Beautiful.

In potentially distressing news, the premiere episode of Caprica reeled in a disappointing 1.6 million viewers, way below the averages for Battlestar Galactica and Stargate: Universe. It is, of course, important to note that some 2 million fans have already sampled the Caprica pilot, as it has been made available online and via DVD.

I watched the pilot episode and liked it a lot. I hope the numbers will be better next week. nod.gif

There is a thoughtful review of the 2nd episode here at Techland. Check it out, but beware THERE ARE SPOILERS if you have not seen the episode yet. So beware of that.

The ratings numbers are not good.

And the web buzz is much quieter compared to BSG.

But the show is good enough to catch my attention, even though it is not what I would have wanted as a spinoff.
WrigsFL
i'm kind of curious where the show is headed. with BSG.. we kind of knew they were looking for earth. I think to Babylon 5.. we knew something was coming... just not what. Makes me wonder where they can take the show and how far. Will we eventually get a jump of a couple of years to where the cylons are being mass produced for some inter-colony battles, leading up to the cylon war? hmmm....

Tonight's episode is going to be awesome. Watch for James Marsters to make a memorable entrance. cool.gif
Vinity
James was great. Is the Greystone house the same house as Gaius' on Caprica in the begining of BSG?
Berengaria
I don't know for sure but it looks like it to me. nod.gif

I enjoyed the introduction of Barnabas Greeley. It was way too short but it made an impact. I love it when James Marsters gets a role he can just let loose on. This is going to be fun.
Berengaria
Well, not so much fun tonight

No Barnabas! No Frakkin Barnabas? The most interesting character introduced and I have to sit through snooze-fest Amanda and Clarice to have no pay off at all.

I am not a happy camper. bawl.gif
