Katherine is on the cover of the August edition of UK magazine Marie Claire. There are some beautiful photos and a nice interview (just picked up my copy).

Katie talks about all sorts of things in the interview...from regretting how her Knocked Up comments came across to her vices (she isn't happy with her smoking). She also speaks about her emotional storylines on Grey's and how the current one has brought back memories of her own experiences with Nancy's battle with cancer and how that has been difficult. She said she is enjoying the rom coms as a break from the heavy stuff.

I read the full article and it was pretty good interview . She was candid, scarcastic funny, and quite honest. It was nice to read some reflection on the infamous KU comment. Granted we have read reflection before on this from Katie, but this reflection I thought was aged since it was about 2 years ago.

As usual loved how candid Katherine was on adjusting to living on her own, living with Josh when they first moved in together, and her own vices. I thought perhaps Katherine was hinting at why Colin and Abby do not end up together in TUT because Colin isn't seeing the real Abby (which is something I discussed with my friends lol). I always wondered if memories of Nancy's cancer came back while Katherine did Izzie's emotionally intense cancer storyline, and sadly they did . Gives an incentive to get roles in comedies . Which is something I remember Patrick Dempsey mentioning once on why he does comedies as well.

It's a must read for any KH fan. Only thing that bugged is that the magazine gave their own spinned-interpretation of Katherine's EmmyGate comment in their "Rise to Rise of Katherine Heigl" section. Thought it was cute that the interviewer was impressed by Katherine leaving messages on the phone because she was having trouble getting through.

Its sad that it was hard for he to do the Izzie storyline ... Awful that it brought back her mom's own battle against cancer... And all of what they (both of them and the rest of the family) went through... sure it helped her with her role-but still sad
