Glad you enjoyed it Dariah

Mel's ReviewGoing into this movie I had an idea of what to expect. but then leaving the movie I really didn't

. TUT really is a rare rom-com where it was realistic on men and women relationships, but also on the topics that is discussed between genders. Looking back you will be thankful that it is a rated R because you really couldn't get nitty-gritty in some parts if it was a PG-13. That said TUT is actually quite tame in it's rated R stuff in comparison to Apatow's movies, but it's still quite raunchy for a rom-com

.
Abby - Abby is a control freak who does like things a certain way from putting a straw in her drinks, flossing, and making sure everything is organized. It was interesting to see Abby loosen up over the course of the movie. What I liked was that Abby didn't completely change whatsover due to Mike. It was his influence that loosened her up, but at the end of the movie she is still Abby. I loved how quirky and at time dorky Abby could be. Her "spazzy dances" were freakin' adoreable, and I wish were able to see her first Snoopy dance in full since it was shown in the first trailer. Abby's dances were just so cute. Compared to 27d Jane or KU's Allison TUT's Abby was far more physical comedic role due to the dances, vibrating panties, salsa dancing, interaction with Mike, and the hot balloon ride. Katherine just nailed the physical comedy, and she did a great job at making Abby cute, control freak, and vulerable all at the same time. I was entertained when Katherine's Abby did guy impressions

.
Mike - I really really loved his character. Leaving the theatre my friends wanted to substitute Alex Karev for Mike

. Mike actually wasn't too offensive to me because some stuff he said I have heard several times, but not in a blunt fashion mind you lol. The only line I thought was harsh was when we first see him on tv. He takes Abby's call, and he calls her a "dog"

. Something no girl wants to hear, and Abby's face is just so crestfallen when he says it. That said that scene on the tv screen just tells you how crass he can be, so it was great to see his evolution throughout this movie. Just like Abby he doesn't completely change either at the end. He's still very much Mike, but you can see the influence Abby has on him. Mike allows himself to become a bit softer, and does a noble act. Gerard did a great job at making Mike his own, but not making him a complete jerk.
Abby & Mike - Without a doubt one of my favorite rom-com couples, and very high on my list of KH couples

. The interaction between these two was a sight to see. You seriously want to see what they will do next because the chemistry between Gerard and Katherine was just off the charts. The way they did their banter, physical comedy, and sexual tension was amazing to watch. It was great to see these two polar opposites (and they are still that at the end to a degree) come together, and met each other halfway and make a great couple.
Supporting Cast - Unlike KU and 27d you honestly don't see a whole lot of them because this movie is solely about Abby and Mike. That said I really enjoyed Bree Turner's Joy because she made her character downright adoreable due to her mannerisms and how she said her words. The anchors and the boss had great comedic moments too lol. Really liked the addition of Mike's nephew because it added another layer to his character that really allowed Abby to see Mike another way.
Favorite Scenes - There were so many of them, but after 2 days these were the most memorable to me:
1) Abby getting her kitty out of the tree - Even though I seen this scene many times in clips it still didn't get old

. The audience just went wild with this one, and Katherine had the most funny expression after seeing all of Colin's glory

. This was one of those segments the crowd laughed so loud you couldn't even hear the dialogue when she was stuck in the tree lol.
2) Abby's "Ugly Truth" phonecall - I thought it was interesting to have Mike and Abby's first interaction be through the means of a phonecall. Even through a tv set they had the chemistry

. It was a great, funny, and also at times bold (due to Mike's language) to start off this battle of the sexes. Crowd had a great time during this segment.
3) Mike Helps Abby - I was glad to see the clips released were edited because they took a lot of funny lines out from the store to when Mike tries to teach Abby how to flirt lol. This is where a lot of the physicalness between the characters begin along with their physical attraction. It's well known at this time that Mike likes Abby's ass because he tends to smack it all the time, and saying she has the "raw material"

. Loved Abby's reply "just say I have a nice ass"....smack

. I agree with Katherine that I was glad they kept that one specific ass slap in the movie, that was completely improv on both Katie and Gerry's part, because it was so funny

. The flirting segment I couldn't hear the dialogue at times because the crowd was so loud with laughter lol.
4) Baseball Stadium - Talk about a Cyrano scene gone bad

. It was adoreable and funny all at the same time

. This was one of those segments the crowd was so loud with laughter you couldn't even hear the dialogue lol. Katherine, Gerard, and Eric did an awesome job in this scene.
5) Vibrating Panties - Another segment I was glad it wasn't fully released because Abby does a lot more under the table that is not shown in the clip lol. This was a segment the crowd just went freakin' nuts

. My audience was louder here than the baseball scene

. The higher and louder Abby got so did the crowd. Katherine nailed this scene to a tee, and you'll notice the little boy (who had no idea WTF Katherine was doing) will turn around as Abby is in the midst of her activity lol.
6) Salsa Dancing - This scene shows what sexual chemistry and tension is all about

. As my friend put it when Mike and Abby were dancing "you could cut the sexual tension with a knife". I thought it was good idea of Rob to make the shots of the dancing tighter because it made you feel the sexual tension even more. This was another scene Katherine and Gerry didn't have a set dance moves ready per se. They just did it, and man did they nail it despite both of these actors aren't skilled dancers. It was so hot because as the dancing goes on Mike and Abby get more physical with their hands and body movements

. It will make you miss Katherine's long blond locks lol. After the salsa scene someone from the crowd said "they are going to need a hot shower", and one person replied "so do I"

. Obiviously, the crowd was involved in the scene lol.
7) Elevator & Hallway Scene - You can just feel both Mike and Abby are very much "hot" if you get my meaning, so when they are in the elevator (Grey's Anatomy isn't the only one that kisses in elevators

) you seriously want them to kiss already

. So your waiting and waiting just like the couple is, and finally they kiss

. It's a very lustful kiss at that

. Thought it was funny they tried to keep the doors from closing while they were kissing lol. The elevator scene dramatically shifts Mike and Abby's relationship, so in the hallway scene you feel for both characters. You want Mike to tell Abby to get rid of boring Colin because Abby is asking..wanting..in her own way as well to give it go with Mike. The crowd was really involved in these scenes because some would say "finally" when the kiss, and "awwww" when Mike walks away.
8) Abby is just Abby - This scene was great because it showed an old, but also important message (and makes me wonder WTF were the critics watching if they couldn't understand it) of just being yourself. Colin didn't know normal Abby. He just knew the "Ugly Truth" Abby, and that's not fair to her nor to Colin. I'm glad Katherine had her hair cut short because it goes great with the moment where Abby becomes honest with Colin. I liked how they did it. They didn't have Abby yell at Colin or be aggressive. In fact, Abby was quite soft-spoken about it, but also quite vulerable. It was sad to see Colin cover his almost shirtless upper body when Abby said "who would love" someone like her

. That one subtle movement by Colin showed he wouldn't love Abby for herself, but in fact Mike would. Abby could handle Mike and Mike could handle Abby. They were made for each other.
9) Hot Air Balloon - It was so funny seeing Abby pull that "Mike replacement" out of the hot air balloon basket

. Thought it was great to hear Abby tell the "Ugly Truth" about men instead of the other way around

, and Joy is just nodding her head in agreement

. She really hits thing on the head to make Mike shows up. Once he does Mike and Abby go at it lol. It's a great hardcore banter between them, and the crowd was really involved in the banter lol. Both Abby and Mike made great points, and man did they smackdown each other

. This segment I swear makes you want to have a longer ending because I thought Abby and Mike would be great anchoring "The Ugly Truth" together. It was funny seeing everyone from Mike's family to Abby's friends and co-workers watch them on tv together during this whole segment

. Granted the hot air balloon ride had a terrible green sceen behind them the actors stills pulled you into the moment where Mike and Abby finally admit their feelings and kiss. Alas, their last kiss wasn't lustful, but quite the rom-com romantic with a dash of Mike in it

.
10) The ending - I really wish the ending was a tad bit longer only because I could seriously watch these two all day

. For a rated R they don't show a whole lot of skin (after watching the movie it's another thing I agree with Katie and Gerry on), but the implications fit with the running gag between Mike and Abby of "faking it"

. Wants you see where the couple goes next, and they were hot in bed

.
Overall, it was great, feel good movie to watch to forget one's worries. My friends, myself, and the crowds I was in had a blast

. Can't wait to see what's on dvd. Katherine, Gerard, and Eric looked amazing on the big screen

:

. I swear I thought I would have to peel one of my guy BFFs off the screen when we left because Katherine looked stunning in this movie

. Lastly, there is a quite of bit KH trivia in the film. Did you guys catch them? I think I found 3 pieces of trivia.
