Wow can people believe that it's been 10 years since some of us first saw Majandra on Roswell. I thought we could celebrate 10 years of chatting about Majandra acting and singing. 10 Years of laughing together and sadly sometimes crying together as we lost some of our fellow fans.

Who here remembers the old fan forum Spoil Candy thread that went on to become The Kinky Candy Thread and all the fun we had coming up with thread titles. I'm still bummed my "Max Got To Ride On The Bike But Maria Got To Ride Michael" title...heh I guess it was a bit too naughty tongue.gif.

Who remembers the first time we heard Majandra's songs for The Sicks. Who here got to see Majandra playing at CBGB....especially in 2002 when she had the concert that Nick and Brendan went to while they were in NY for a fan convention.

How about the Paris party train for her shows in Paris. Or how about us US fans using online translators to order Le Prince Bleu from the French online store.

Ahhh the good times. So I hope people come over to remember all the fun.

Hugs
Val

Wow 10 years is really a long time.
2001 is when the madness started for me. I saw 285 South for the first time (on March 10, I know it's kinda pathetic that I actually know the exact date) and I was just totally in love with Majandra and her character Maria. She totally blew me away and well I have been a fan ever since.

And yeah I totally remember the Kinky Candy board. I remember you, Kate, Cindy, Sherri and me being mods over there and chatting all night long. Thanks to you I actually learned English lol.gif

And how could I forget Paris. It's amazing that I got to see her there twice and all the wonderful people I met there esp my now best friend and former roomie Zee.

God I can't believe that this has been so long. Awesome that we've known each other for so long.

Oh and Val remember when I used to call you Auntie Val. Don't know why but I liked it lol.gif

Awww the old Kraving Candy board where the Kinky Candy thread landed. That was fun. Of course it started around the time the show ended but it was still very popular.

I rember starting that board because of how negative it was on the old FF board(I have no idea what it is like over there now, it's been years since I stopped posting there) and Kraving Candy started so we had a place much more laid back to post.

Then when MB started and we got the invites to join the site we knew we had a great place that was much more positive to post and decided to shut down KC and encourage posters over here but those were fun times.

Ok what is with all the lurkers out there. Don't be shy, come on out to play!

I can't believe how time flies! The first episode of Roswell I saw was Heatwave. That episode hooked me! I fell in love with Maria that first season.

I didn't get involved in the boards until after the show was off the air. I stumbled on Kraving Candy by accident. I'm so glad I did though. It got me hooked on Majandra's music and I met some really great people along the way.

I am like you, caught on to Roswell later on and fell in love with it. Then I went to the websites and joined the boards. From there of course learned about Majandra's music and from become a fan of that I have gained some wonderful friends. Thankful for Roswell for so many reasons!!!

I know I didn't post on any boards until towards the end of the show, I use to lurk over on CID and FF while at work grin.gif.

I don't remember what the first episode I saw was. I know I didn't watch as faithfully while it was on the air, but got caught up when it went to SciFi and then of course bought the box sets (yes, even the mythical S3).

Maria was always my favorite though and I found the boards after the show had gone off the air. Then of course I found Majandra's music and was just hooked on it. I have met so many lovely people along the way too!

I loved all her hairstyles on the show, except the really short hair at the beginning of S1.

One personal memory that does stand out for me was watching BTM with my hubby and when Maria's arguing with Dominique about wanting to record her own music, my hubby is yelling at the tv to just record their music and once she's a success she can record her own. He then grumbled to me that she needed to learn how to "play the game". lol.gif

I just feel very old right now grin.gif
Roswell was a great tv show ... Even if I wasn't a fan of Maria, I can tell Roswell just made me know Majandra ...

So thank you !

You are killin' me...I miss those days like mad ('specially when, like today, the internet just isn't entertaining at all). Mostly I remember getting accused (as a mod of the board) of being a shipper of every ship on the board. wink.gif

I was first and foremost an M/M shipper in the beginning, but when I became a mod I stayed out of discussions smile.gif as to not get accused of being evil and biased. I remember the first time Brendan posted on the boards...I remember chats during the very beginning with squanto (I think that was his name), and role playing. Remember Lisa Im'ing me to tell me I was the new Roswell mod with Moonfire. *le sigh* Christina Radish's young MnM fanfic was my first EVER Fanfiction. It was such a special place, and I feel good for just being a part of it.

Hi Drcy wave.gif,

I remember you, I forget which Roswell board you were the mod for (back then there were the 2 Roswell boards as well as all the actor boards...sad to say I can't remember why there were 2 Roswell boards on FF) but I do remember your name.

I sometimes miss those days as well. The nice days not the shipper war days. I remember when Brendan posted that time on his board, it was almost like being on chat because he was replying to posts for an hour or so.

Long live the Candy love hearthrob.gif. Oh and welcome.gif to Majandra's board.
