Yes, children, it's that time of the year again.

I know I'm a little early this year but I just saw some Christmas cards at the shop and thought "Hey we should get started on our little tradition again and hey... if we start early, maybe I'll actually manage to send the cards on time this year!"

Since we have a lot of new people here (yay!) I should explain:

Every year around Christmas, Robbie pulls out his red Santa costume and hand-delivers little Ian clones to the most faithful fans- no wait... that only happened in my dream. Ignore that please...

Here comes the real thing:

It started in 2007 with a small, rather private circle of people who met here at MB forum and from 2008 we made it open for everyone who posts here. We (usually that means I) collect the addresses of everyone who wants to participate until a certain deadline, then I'll PM the address list to all the participants and then the fund part starts. You have to write a Christmas card to everyone on that list but in return you will also GET a Christmas card from everyone on that list and since we're such a diverse group of people that means you get to receive cards from all around the world.

Does that sound cool or what?

It is really fun and I think everyone who took part in the past will agree with me. Most of us spend a great deal of time on this board and we "know" each other for years online, so it is really something special if you get to have something real from that person in your hands. And it's very much in the spirit of Christmas.

Of course you are also welcome to join if you don't celebrate Christmas. Everyone is welcome.

I'm in as always. It's so exciting to get cards from all over the world, especially so since they're coming from you guys. I've actually kept every single cards that I've received from all of you and tucked them away.

Major computer issues and family obligations have made me little more than a lurker on this site for the last year....but I looked forward last year to receiving the Christmas Cards from everyone and would love to participate again. My address has not changed but I will PM you again just in case.

The other card came from Hawaii, from my friend Lynn. She wrote that I need to come visit again - Beard Papas and IAN are waiting for me!

She enclosed a flyer from Beard Papas (she's evil, she knows how much I love them!) and a cut out of the article about Ian in PEOPLE magazine (6 Revelations about Ian). I'm so happy!
