ACADEMY AWARDS
“The Academy Awards: Nominations, Snubs, and Predicted Winners”
nullAt this point, everyone’s heard about the major changes that are hitting the most celebrated award show in history.  In an unprecedented and astonishing decision, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have extended their Best Picture category from five films to a large slate of ten.

MOVIE REVIEW
“The Lovely Bones” [Film Review]
nullPeter Jackson’s “The Lovely Bones” isn’t doing so well at the box office, nor is it receiving a favorable reaction from most critics. “The Lovely Bones,” based off of Alice Sebold’s dark novel, is being lambasted by most film critics for the story and subject matter of the film, and how the film glances over certain violent moments that were recounted with vivid detail in the book.

MOVIE REVIEW
“One of the year’s finest performances” [Up in the Air]
nullReitman, director of the unflinching “Thank you for smoking” and the Academy Award-winning “Juno,” is an uncompromising visionary with a penchant for being able to fully immerse a movie-goer in an entirely unfamiliar setting, while simultaneously making them feel as though they’ve been there their entire life.
MOVIE REVIEW
“One of the best films I’ve ever seen!” [ Avatar ]
null Out of the entire spectrum – one percent of films are perfect.  Flawless execution.  Unforgettable story.  Brilliant acting.  These are the films that actually win awards.“Avatar” fits into that one percent.  This is truly a perfect film.
MOVIE REVIEW
“A Very Different Type of Horror Film” [The Man Who Collected Food]
nullIn my opinion, the title of the film is the absolute first thing that settles into a movie-goer’s consciousness.  Sometimes, the very title might be the sole deciding factor for whether someone will see the movie or not.
