Celebrating its 75-year history, the Screen Actors Guild presented its coveted Actor statuettes for the outstanding motion picture and primetime television performances of 2007 at the 14th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in a ceremony attended by film and television’s leading actors.
Held Sunday, January 27th at the
Shrine
Exposition
Center, and selected by the active Guild membership nationwide, Daniel Day-Lewis, Julie Christie, Javier Bardem and Ruby Dee won for performances in motion pictures and Kevin Kline, Queen Latifah, James Gandolfini, Edie Falco, Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey took home trophies for performances in television. Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture went to No Country for Old Men, while the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in Television went to The Sopranos for Drama Series and The Office for Comedy Series.
Veteran actor Charles Durning was presented with the evening’s highest honor, the 44th Annual Life Achievement Award.
