An evening of music, laughter and inspiration was had Thursday, Aug. 31st as “Donate Life Rocks” came to Los Angeles . The concert event was held at the Hard Rock Cafe Los Angeles to benefit Donate Life America , a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring all people to save and enhance lives through organ, eye and tissue donation.
The concert to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation was co-headlined by Josh Kelley and Alex Band and the emcee for the evening was Theo Von from MTV's "Road Rules" and NBC's "Last Comic Standing".

The event featured a variety of talent including:
Theo Von – Theo is a comedian with hilarious bits revolving around his family and experience on MTV’s “Road Rules” and the fourth season of “Last Comic Standing”. Theo has a family member who is a liver recipient.
Josh Kelley – Josh recently released his third rock album titled “Just Say the Word”. His fiancée’s brother was an organ donor.
Alex Band – Geffen recording artist from the rock band The Calling (“Wherever You Will Go” and “Our Lives”). Currently recording his first solo album. Alex has a family member who will need a liver transplant.

The Marion Brothers Band – guitarist/vocalist with a recent debut album produced by Switchfoot guitarist Drew Shirley.
The Weight – acclaimed rock band that has worked with a variety of high-profile artists including Ludacris, Kelly Clarkson and Josh Kelley
A number of celebrities and VIP guests were also in attendance, including Katherine Heigl, "Grey's Anatomy" co-star TR Knight, Majandra Delfino ("Roswell"), Devon Gummersall ("My So Called Life") and Don Mancini (writer / director and creator of Chucky).
