MediaBlvd has started a concerted campaign to raise both awareness and funds for the Coalition on Donation. The Coalition on Donation is a not-for-profit alliance of national organizations and local coalitions across the
United States
dedicated to inspiring all people to donate life through organ and tissue donation. The Coalition’s efforts focus on the life-saving aspects of donation and encourage people to take action now to ensure their donation wishes are carried out later. The following statistics show the real need for awareness of this issue:
- More than 90,000 men, women and children currently await life-saving transplants.
- Every 12 minutes another name is added to the national transplant waiting list.
- An average of 20 people die each day from the lack of available organs for transplant.
To support the campaign there will be a number of upcoming activities to promote the cause, building up to Donate Life Month in April. MediaBlvd has set a number of targets that it believes are achievable with the support of it’s members. The primary goal is to increase awareness of the issues and to raise a minimum of $5000 to support the charity.
For every dollar donated, the members name will go into a drawing for special prizes. Details of the prize(s) will be announced shortly. A gift will help save lives by educating the public about the opportunity for organ and tissue donation, and every dollar donated is a tax deductible contribution that will go directly to programs aimed at increasing donation.
Contributions can be made at any time by mail, phone, fax or email. Visa, MasterCard, checks and money orders are accepted.
Please identify your contribution with MEDIABLVD and provide an email address. This will enable us to track your gift and will ensure you will be eligible for several competitions and prize draws that will be revealed as we announce our events program,
