I just watched
London, coincidentally not about the
city, or even its denizens, but one of the characters from the film. It stars
Jessica Biel, Chris Evans and Jason Statham. Since it is so HORRIFICLY annoying and bad, I will let
the one-liners from various major newspapers, magazines and online websites do
the justice instead. Do yourself a favour and don't watch it, unless you're in
the mood for some Battlefield Earth sadism.

"Don't you hate it when you're holed up in a bathroom with two ego-centric
guys snorting coke and kibitzing about the meaning of life and their failing
love lives? Me too."
-
New York Post
"It's appropriate that most of
London takes
place in the bathroom, since the whole misbegotten project should have been
flushed down the toilet."
- Reel.com
"'You are so annoying!' our hero screams in the heroine's face, halfway
through
London.
'You are ten times more annoying than me!' our heroine quickly answers. Turns
out, they're both right."
-
Newark Star Ledger
"Things become so dull at times, one can only fantasize that Evans will
reprise his "Fantastic Four" role and burst into flames, or that
Statham will shift into "Transporter" mode and run him over."
-
Los Angeles Times
"Advisory:
London contains sexual situations, some
fairly disgusting language and one woman on a toilet discussing
spirituality."
-
San Francisco Chronicle
"Syd's emotional tailspin is embarrassingly banal, and his assertion that
"everybody here hates me" quickly applies to the audience as
well."
- The Village Voice
"At least
London nails the inanity of drug-speak —
the bathroom chat quickly devolves from God and 'time horizons' to coprophilia
and a truly dumb confessional tirade by Statham — although perhaps this
achievement is unintentional."
- Entertainment Weekly
"What an ordeal this was."
